The SELL team in YOBE conducted a Self awareness workshop for Corp members and Students of St Mary's school in Damaturu, Yobe State.

The workshop which was conducted using the Joharis Window Model, a psychological tool designed to help individuals understand their relationships with themselves and others focused on personal development, self-reflection, and improving communication skills.

Participants during the workshop were engaged in discussions and activities that allowed them to explore their strengths, weaknesses, blind spots, and hidden potentials.

The primary objectives of the training were to:
Improve self-awareness; help participants recognize their strengths, weaknesses, and how others perceive them.

The workshop also Enhance personal development, encourage participants to work on their blind spots and unlock hidden potentials and to also boost communication with others by understanding different perspectives.

The workshop allows participants to gain valuable insights into self-awareness and self-improvement.

BRIQUETTES PRODUCTION

The SELL   team in collaboration with Access to Life Empowerment Initiative (A2L), successfully trained 100 women and young girls in Nasarawa Community, Damaturu, Yobe State, on the production of charcoal briquettes.

This initiative supports SELL’s mission to build peaceful, self-reliant communities through education and skills development, and aligns with A2L’s vision of empowering communities to live fulfilled, dignified lives.

The training promotes eco-friendly, affordable, and sustainable energy alternatives that reduce firewood dependence, protect the environment, and enhance economic opportunities for women and young girls.

Charcoal briquettes are a simple, cost-effective, and environmentally sound fuel source, offering a sustainable path to livelihood.
Together, A2L and SELL are driving positive change by equipping communities with the knowledge and skills for a brighter, greener, and more economically secure future.

MAIDUGURI SELL TEAM CONDUCTED A LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP, ADVOCACY VISIT

The SELL team in Maiduguri, Borno State SELL team conducted an Advocacy visit to St Mary's CRI School, federal low cost Maiduguri, to raise awareness on Child safeguarding, Climate change and environmental sustainability.

During the visit, the Team met with the school management and staff, where Marcel Aiden highlighted and emphasized on the importance of child protection and the need to safeguard our children and the environment.

Speaking also, Yusuf Dugje and Thomas Zira made emphasis on climate change and environmental sustainability as pressing issues that requires immediate attention and collective action.

Similarly, the team conducted a leadership workshop for Alter Servers at St Patrick’s Cathedral, Maiduguri. The workshop aimed at empowering them with skills on leadership as the pilot the affairs of the group and beyond.

SELL CONDUCT TRAINING, COMMUNITY RISK ASSESSMENT, DISTRIBUTE CHARCOAL STOVE IN PANKSHIN

Sharing Education and Learning for Life Foundation, Nigeria conducted a three days training in Pankshin Local Government of Plateau State. The three days training focused on Smart Agriculture and Family cohesion.

The training aimed at empowering farmers with skills to improve their Agricultural productivity and also strengthen family relationship among couples.

The team also conducted a community mapping at new layout, aimed at assessing environmental risk factors of the area.

​Similarly, as way of promoting safe environment, SELL distributed charcoal stove to its volunteers.

​The training took place at Legion Hall from the 19th to 21st March, 2025 and brought together participants from different groups and families.

WORKSHOP WITH STUDENTS IN SELECTED SCHOOLS IN ADAMAWA, PANKSHIN

In our efforts to empower students with knowledge to succeed in an Ever-challenging world, Sharing Education and Learning for Life Foundation conducted workshop for selected students at Standard Secondary School Mayo Belwa, Government day Secondary School Numan, Jambutu Wisdom Academy Yola and Holy Cross Secondary School Pankshin Local Government of Plateau State.

The workshop which took place in different phases centered on leadership, Conflict Management, Active communication/listening and Empathy.

The workshop aimed at equipping the students with skills for personal and professional growth.

JALINGO SELL TEAM IN COLLABORATION WITH STAKEHOLDRES, PARTNERS ORGANIZE A MAIDEN CLIMATE CHANGE ACTORS SUMMIT

The SELL situation room of Environment and Climate Change, in collaboration with Taraba Youths Transformation Initiative (TYTI), Centre for Peace Education and Community Development (CEPEACECODE), Coalition for Civil Society Organizations in Taraba State, Ministry of Environment Taraba State and FOURCI Nigeria held a summit at the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Conference Hall, Taraba State Secretariat in Jalingo.

The Summit is envisioned as a dynamic platform to bring together government agencies, Heads of Farmers Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Religious Organizations and Community leaders to deliberate on pressing environmental and climate change challenges facing Taraba state through collaborative dialogue and innovative policy discussions.


The event aimed to develop an actionable strategy that addresses environmental degradations and promote sustainable development.
