In July, the SELL Programme Malawi conducted a step-down workshop in the Mwaya community, Nkhata-Bay district. This training focused on leadership development and mentored three trainee SELL facilitators. The workshop, held on July 13th, equipped participants with essential leadership skills to effectively implement the SELL programme in their communities. From July 25th to 28th, 33 enthusiastic volunteers participated in the fifth SELL training in Nkhata Bay. The training emphasized active learning, with volunteers contributing to sessions and fostering a collaborative environment. Through thorough preparation and open dialogue, the training successfully equipped volunteers with the skills and knowledge to become effective facilitators. The support of the Catholic Diocese of Mzuzu, TROCAIRE, St. Patrick’s Missionary Society, and SELL Connect was instrumental in the training's success. Building upon the achievements of the fifth training, SELL Programme Malawi will conduct follow-up step-down workshops in all communities represented. This ongoing commitment to capacity building will ensure the programme's continued impact.
