Hello friends, we are excited to once again update you on our activities here in Ghana. Vincent and the new SELL Resource Team member Hagar assisted two of the trainees of the Life Choice Day programme, Moses and Thomas of the Logre team, to work with 25 young adults on Wednesday 17th August, 2016.
These 25 young adults had come Logre community where the SELL Resource room is situated and together with the team they explored the five choices that makes up the Life Choice Day programme namely; Choose to Know Myself using JOHARI’s Window, Choose to be the Best Person I can be using Patrick/Patricia’s story, Choose to Take my Place in the World using the Tree of my Life, Choose my Friends using Blindfold walk and Choose to Protect my Life using mind map on Sexual Health.
It was very encouraging to see young people within the community where we work interact, share and learn in an exciting atmosphere of respect for each other.

Hello friends, greeting from all of us here at the SELL Resource room in the Upper East Region of Ghana. We are happy to once again share with you on our activities on the weekend of 12th to 14th August, 2016.
It was another exciting experience as Vincent and Leo of the SELL Resource Team travelled to Kumasi to meet the SELL team in the southern part of Ghana. It had been 10 years since the programme came to Ghana and it was the first time the Resource Team has travelled to work with this group since the establishment of the SELL Resource Centre in Ghana. It was also an opportunity to reflect together with the team on their activities; to look at the challenges and the way forward.
On the evening of Friday 12th August, 2016 the SELL Resource Team explored together with the SELL Team Kumasi looked among other things, ways to reach out to many young adults within the region and election of new core team leaders. The team elected Constance Adjei, Wisdom Agyiri and Mabel Akurugu to lead and help the team to achieve her target and Hagar Bebuur, the coordinator of the SELL Team Kumasi who has joined the Resource Team handed over to the new core team leaders.
On Saturday 13th August, 2016, Vincent and Leo took 22 participants made up the core members SELL Team Kumasi and some interested persons through a training on the ‘Life Choice Day’, an auxiliary unit developed by the SELL Resource Team to support young people in Senior High Schools. They explored the five main choice namely; Choose to Know Myself using JOHARI’s Window, Choose to be the Best Person I can be using Patrick/Patricia’s story, Choose to Take my Place in the World using the Tree of my Life, Choose my Friends using Blindfold walk and Choose to Protect my Life using mind map on Sexual Health.
The team after the training planned on their upcoming Peace Rally in Kumasi on the 21st of September, 2016 which is aimed at promoting a Peace - before, during and after the general election in December, 2016.
It was encouraging to know through evaluation by members of the SELL Team Kumasi that the refresher had serve as a capacity building workshop for them.
The SELL Resource Team Ghana is excited about the new energy of the Kumasi SELL Team, the hope is to reach out to the many young adults who need our support.
We are very grateful to you all who support us in the work and we will continue to update you on our work here in Ghana.
Kind regards from us all.
