Hello everyone!!! Greetings from the SELL Resource Room here in Ghana in the Upper East Region, we hope you are all keeping well as we journey towards the end of the year 2016. As always, we are excited to share on our experience with a different group of young adults within the region we are working with you.
Three facilitators from the SELL Resource Room; Vincent, Hagar and Leo worked with 24 young adults of the Sacred Heart Cathedral community of Bolgatanga on the Leadership unit of the SELL Programme. These 24 young adults have been selected from the various youth groups that make up the community.
Together with the participants, the team explored sessions on Leadership Styles using Animal Pictures, Attentive Listening and Effective Communication using Pass the Message, Experience of Authority, Leadership and Power using Memories, the Role of Leaders in Caring for the Earth as well as Sexuality and Sexual Health.
After the sessions participants pledged to minimize the use of plastics as their contribution to caring for the Earth and also help their younger ones with sex education using the materials the Resource team shared with them
It was very encouraging and exciting reading the insights the young adults gave on the evaluation after the workshop. The entire SELL family is appreciative of the participants and the organizers.
