ANOTHER SHARING EDUCATION AND LEARNING FOR LIFE (SELL) TRAINING OF FACILITATORS COMPLETED

Hello to you our reader of the SELL Blog. This week’s update is a continuation of last week’s. If you are reading this update and have not read last week’s, I encourage you to do so, thanks.

The Local Training of facilitators selected from Bauchi and Gombe states, Nigeria was completed on Sunday 22nd April 2012. The training which started on Thursday 19th April in the evening upon the arrival of participants was very compressed. Time was a very big constraint. We had a schema designed which we had worked out,  but because of the brilliant discussions generated in most of the sessions, the 3 days became a bit short for the training, but all things being equal, at least all the sessions were explored.

All the ten trainees that took part at the training were shared in to Community Teams based on the local Community in which they reside. Since they were trained in the Self Awareness (Personal Growth) unit of the SELL Programme, they are expected to work in their teams and deliver this unit of the Programme in their Community before they come back for the second facilitators training.

Clifford, one of the participants at the facilitators training, on behalf of all the trainees, thanked the Resource Team for the privilege to be part of the training. From us here, we appreciate the passion of this set of trainees we pray that they will move with this zeal they have shown during the training to their Communities where they will deliver the SELL Programme.

We rejoice with Victor a member of the SELL Team in Jalingo, Taraba State, Nigeria for the arrival of a new born baby boy in his home. We pray for long life and good health for his wife and the baby.

Looking forward to next week when I shall bring you more update of SELL Programme. Have a nice week end!!!

Maria DAGOGOT
