Hello friends, I will like to start by wishing you a happy new month, it is also the first month of the ember months, I pray with you for grace and blessing to experience the last ember (December) month for this year.

Are you our friend on facebook? If yes, then you may have read that the SELL Hausa Manual for facilitators have been produced and  if no, please send us a friends request and we will be right there waiting to accept your request. Before the production of this Manual, two sets of SELL facilitators’ Manual were produced; the first was in 2009 and the second was 2013, both of which are in English, the latter being the revise edition of the former. The need to produce the SELL Manual in Hausa came when workshops were being delivered in the communities. The facilitators found out that in the North East where we work majorly, some of our target audience understand the Hausa lingua franca more than they understand English. To pass the SELL message effectively the Hausa Manual had to be produce to help facilitators in delivering the workshops. In the nearest future, the SELL Foundation will conduct a Hausa training of facilitator who will in turn deliver the workshop to youth in their communities.

Congratulations to the SELL Facilitators in Jalingo for opening the curtain for the SELL fourth training in the North East of Nigeria. The training in Jalingo Taraba State Nigeria begun on Wednesday 20th and ended on Sunday 24th August 2014. It was facilitated by Moses Alokpa of the SELL Resource team with Victor Kamai and Stanley David both SELL Mentors and Facilitators from Jalingo. They explored the Community Building unit of SELL. The number of trainees were fourteen; four of whom were ladies. A challenge which was expressed by the SELL Team in Jalingo was that, after taking the training, doing the step-down workshops is a challenge. This is because of the recurrent insecurity experienced in some parts of Taraba sate and the North -East of Nigeria, at large.
