Welcome to this week’s edition of the SELL blog. Am glad for the privilege given me by the Team to write this update. Last week I totally forgot to report an upcoming event ie. The workshop at Kabba, Kogi State, North Central, Nigeria. Recall that Kabba was the town where the dream of SELL programme all started, by Leo and Noel. Last weekend, 19th-20th August, 2011, two SELL facilitators in training from that town, James Olorunmolu and Taiye Mofolorunso held a workshop on the Spirituality unit of the programme, for the youths who resides on the Ilorin road in Kabba and worships at Queen of Peace, Church. According to Taiye, they started the workshop on Friday at 4pm and closed at 6pm. On the next day Saturday, they commenced at 9am and closed at 5pm. A total of 22 participants attended the workshop from start to finish. 8 of the participants were male while 14 were female. It was a challenging unit for the young people given that many of them never take the time to pray with creation and even remember their ancestors, but the weekend availed them that great opportunity, hence they were grateful to the organizers of the workshop.
