This year’s Annual Regional Renewal Meeting of the SPMS West African Region held at the SPMS Regional House in Lagos. The Catholic Clergies invited Jonathan, a member of the Resource Team to facilitate at the meeting. The feedback we got from the clergies showed the outstanding work Jonathan did that aided in achieving the aim of their renewal meeting and they were grateful.

STUDENTS IN BILLIRI, GOMBE STATE TOOK PART IN THE LIFE CHOICE PROGRAMME OF SELL

Mary a member of the Bauchi SELL team worked together with Moses of the SELL Resource Team in delivering the SELL Programme at All Saint Secondary School Billiri. The programme was long scheduled to hold on Thursday 25th October, 2012. With the announcement of the National public holiday for the Eid –El – kabir celebration on Thursday and Friday (25th – 26thOctober 2012), there was apprehension among facilitators that the workshop might not hold however the students who were a mixture of Muslims and Christians were eager to experience the SELL programme and insisted that the Programme should hold. Since it was a day work and it was not the main Sallah  day, the Facilitators gave it a try and worked with the students from 8am to 3pm. 29 young students and two staff members  participated (11 female and 20 male)

The students were very happy they participated; some said they have acquired skills on how to give feedback and choose trustworthy friends but their challenges was how to accept feedback from others. In the end, they thanked the facilitators and requested that the team should come again and share the programme with more students in the area.
