“Sharing Education and Learning for Life” being the name of our programme, it behooves us to share with discerning people like yourselves the activities we undertake monthly – which we have been doing and hope to continue – and the education we get from those activities in that all of us will benefit from it and to think and make life-giving choices. So, we are pleased to share with you the activities carried out in January, 2018.
Our Resource Room reopened on Thursday January 4, 2018. Continuing with the workshops on the Leadership Unit of the programme from January 12 to 14 we were at Navrongo and Chiana communities. The following weekend we were at Paga, Sirigu, Zebilla, Bawku and Bunkpurugu communities – all in the Navrongo-Bolgatanga zone.
We did share with you during our last update that we were to have the second training for our Support Persons (Mentors) in January and we actually had it on the last weekend of the month in Tamale. It was such a lovely and an insightful encounter. Trainees were equipped with the necessary skills to function well on the field and they showed great commitment to the additional task they have volunteered to undertake.
We were blessed to have the leadership team of the Presentation Brothers, whose ministry this programme is, paying us a visit in the Resource Room. We appreciate their continuous support in making this programme reach out to many young adults. Additionally, we were privileged to be visited by an Irish couple Pat and Ann.
We sincerely appreciate our benefactors, the Youth Chaplains, the Volunteer Facilitators and all who support us in diverse ways and our prayer is that they may enjoy lasting peace in themselves, their communities and in all they do.
Shalom,
SELL Resource Team.
