The weekend of 22nd -23rd March 2014 was remarkable for the SELL Programme when the SELL Team in Kabba, Kogi State, Nigeria, Taiye and Fr. Augustine, delivered the Community Building unit of SELL. The duo shared the programme with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members on orientation in Camp. 39 Corp Members took part in the Programme, 16 of whom are ladies. Taiye one of the facilitators who gave the report said the Corp members requested that SELL should seek for partnership with NYSC so that more Corp members will experience the SELL programme.

At Lugbe area in Abuja, Nigeria, five SELL Facilitators delivered the Leadership unit of the programme in three consecutive evenings; Thursday, Friday and Saturday (20-22/3/14). The facilitators were Lucy, Babatimi, Modesta, Simon and Patrick. In all the three days, over 40 consistent participants turned up for the programme, which they said was one of the most interesting workshops they have had in recent times. Kudus to the facilitators and the entire group!

The purpose of the evaluation is to determine the achievements, lessons learned and overall impact as well as to assist in determining future options for SELL Foundation.

The Bauchi/Gombecommunity teams of SELL Facilitators have taken their third facilitators training. The training took place at the Youth Formation Centre, Bauchi, Nigeria, on the 26th – 30th March 2014. The unit of the SELL Programme shared during the training was the Leadership unit and 13 persons took part in it. They were encouraged by their trainers, members of theSELL Resource Team(Berlyn, Moses and Mary) to step down the unit in their communities among other youth bodies.

Upcoming programme is a capacity building for the SELL Resource Team on Project Monitoring and Evaluation. This will come up on the 2nd – 4th April 2014 at the SELL Foundation’s office in Bauchi, Nigeria. The Resource Person for the capacity building is Dr. Naomi Akpan, Executive Director of Impact for Change and Development an organiation in Ogun State, Nigeria.
