We are delighted to once again bring you updates on our activities here in the resource room and out there on the field. We hope you are all doing well in all your endeavours. Our hearts are filled with gratitude as you monitor our activities with keen interest – longing to here from us every time.
From our last update we informed you of the second training session for Volunteer Facilitators in the Navrongo-Bolgatanga zone on the Leadership Unit of the SELL Programme Ghana. The volunteers have since started facilitating workshops and so far four communities have had theirs – OLA, Zuarungu, Bongo and Tongo. Through these workshops a total of 98 young adults were reached.
In the Tamale zone where volunteers were trained on the Leadership Unit early on in August, four communities had their workshops this month, OLA Cathedral, St. Theresa, Lamashegu and Sacred Heart. A total of 95 young adults were encountered, 46 females and 49 males.
Three of the resource team members – Tommy, Vincent and Leo, were in Nigeria for a Networking Meeting with the SELL Nigeria team. Discussions were made and decisions taken to ensure the continuity of this rich Programme to the benefit of many young adults who will in turn effect positive changes in society at large.
We hope to continue from where we stopped in the coming months. Thus, in November there shall be a Mentoring Training session for some selected Volunteer Facilitators from both the Tamale and Navrongo-Bolgatanga zones in Tamale. The essence of this training is equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to be able to assist their colleague facilitators in their local communities.
As always, we sincerely appreciate our Volunteers for their dedication to help other young adults experience the programme as they have. To them we say, God bless you!
We are excited bringing you this update and we encourage you to stay tuned for subsequent ones. Until then, remain blessed.
