Report for May

Hi Friends!
We greet you from the SELL Resource Room and we trust that all is well in your life. We have begun a new month and as always, we would like to share with you activities we undertook in the previous month (May).
In the month of May the Resource Team did a lot on mentoring trainees on the field, as trainees continued to deliver workshops in their local communities. For the Navrongo/Bolgatanga Zone, workshops were held in Wiaga and Sandema on the 5th and 6th of May and at Sirigu and Paga on the 26th and 27th of May. Hagar and Vincent were there as mentors from the Resource Team to support the work of the trainees. Trainees did very well in facilitating the workshops. The participants were very happy to have experienced the programme and the applauded the trainees for the good work done. The facilitators were also grateful for the positive feedback received from the participants in their evaluation. They mentioned that the feedback has boosted their confidence and they hope to do even better in future workshops.
In the Tamale zone, trainees in the Kpandai/Kabonwuli Communities came together to organize and facilitate workshop for  the youth from both communities. Leo and Vincent were there to provide the facilitators with all the support and encouragement they needed. The workshop was held at Kabonwuli with 30 participants in attendance. Kpandai and Kabonwli are both remote communities in the Northern Region and needs a lot of support. The trainees were therefore very happy that they could support their peers with the SELL programme.
Also in the Southern zone, the SELL Team in Kumasi received an invitation from the Kumasi Arch Diocesan Executives of the Children of Mary Society to facilitate a Leadership Seminar for thirty (30) young adults (representatives from the various Parishes) of the society. The team of facilitators comprising Evans, Eugene and Wisdom were there to explore the Leadership Unit of the Programme with them. The participants were very excited about the programme and the executives mentioned they felt blessed for the opportunity to have experienced it. During the evaluation the group requested that the Team comes back again in November to have another session with them.  We hope this will help the team  to reach other communities in the Region.
In all, a total of 142 young adults were reached in May, 62 females and 80 males.
We are always happy to keep you informed on our activities. Thank you for all the support given us.
Warmest Regards from us all. Namaste!!!
