Sharing Education and Learning for Life Foundation had a two days training with internal displaced persons at Jabi Lamba, Hong Local Government area of Adamawa State.
The training which was conducted on Child Safeguarding and protection aimed at empowering them with the necessary skills on the need of safeguarding and protecting the rights of children and vulnerable in the camp.

During the training, participants were made to understand their roles and responsibilities towards children, how to recognize abused as well appropriate channels to report the issue of abused.
At the end of the two days training, participants agreed and came up with a policy that will aid them in safeguarding the children and the vulnerable in the camp.
The training took place in the month of February, 2023.

SELL VOLUNTEERS CONDUCTS WORKSHOPS IN THEIR VARIOUS COMMUNITIES
The pool of SELL volunteers across the communities in North East and Plateau reached out to various groups through its formative and transformative programmes.
Out of seven SELL communities, Resource Centre has received a report of workshops on different thematic areas, Leadership, Self awareness, Entrepreneurship, Child Safeguarding and Protection and Peace building from some of the communities.
To begin with, Jos and Jalingo communities, the SELL facilitators in these communities have conducted workshops on Leadership, Child Safeguarding and protection as well as Peace talk to different youths and women groups in their respective States.

Gombe community on the other hand has also carried out advocacy visit to the parish priest of St Andrews Catholic Church, Billiri to inform him of the SELL activities, similarly, the volunteers in Gombe conducted two Entrepreneurship workshops to the undergraduate students of Federal University Kashere, Youths of St Andrews Catholic Church Billiri and also had a self awareness workshop with the students of Diocesan High School, Gombe.
