Hello friends, we on the SELL Team here in Ghana sends our greetings, we hope you are all doing well. The weekend of 24th to 26th June, 2016 was another experience of working with a group of young adults and we are happy to share with you. Tommy Hayden and Vincent of the SELL Resource Team set out on the evening of the Friday 24th June, 2016 to Pelungu, a village in the Nabdam district of Upper East region of Ghana (which is about 30 minutes’ drive from the SELL Resource Room) to begin a workshop on the Leadership unit of the SELL Programme. It is interesting to let you know that on their way back, the rain had flooded the road they used when they were going into the village and so they had to drive through the neighboring villages until they found their way back to the Resource Room. That notwithstanding, the Team went back to the village through their newly discovered routes and worked with 26 young adults of which 16 were female and the remaining 10 being males. Together with the participants, the team explored sessions on Leadership Styles using Animal Pictures, Attentive Listening and Communication using Pass the Message, Experience of Authority, Leadership and Power using Memories as well as Sexuality and Sexual Health.
The Team is grateful to all of you who have been supporting us in various ways to reach out to the many young adults who needs the support of the SELL Programme. Kind regards from us all.
