The Team began with Life Choice Training programme for 22 participants (most of which are Presentation Brothers and education workers) within the three Northern Regions of Ghana (Upper East, Upper West and Northern). The aim of the training is to assist these participants to reach out to young people in second cycle institutions with the SELL Programmes’s Life Choice Day for young people to help them with the important choices the need to make in the journey of their lives. These participants were trained on five choices namely, Choose to Know Myself, Choose to be the Best Person I can be, Choose to Take My Place in the World, Choose My Friends and Choose to Protect My Life. The Programme was facilitated by Tommy, Vincent and Leo.
On the weekend of 15th to 17th April, 2016, The SELL Programme Ghana was at Wiaga (in the Bulsa North District of the Upper East Region of Ghana) with the community Youth. Vincent and Leo led the 44 participants who attended the workshop through the Self Awareness unit of the SELL Programme. The group together with the participants explored sessions including Self Knowledge and Identity, Johari's Window and Sexuality and Sex Education. The group through their feedback invited the SELL Team to come back for the other units of the Programme.
Vincent and Leo of the SELL Resource Team Ghana was in Zuarungu (a suburb of Bolgatanga) on the weekend of 22th to 24th April, 2016, to facilitate the Community Building Unit of the SELL Programme. The 40 young adults who attended the workshop from in and around the community were led through sessions such as Gender and Role of Women in communities, Sexuality and Sexual Health, Identity, Perceptions and Misperceptions.
Meanwhile Tommy did a presentation on the Justice unit of the SELL Programme to the Justice and Peace committee in Bolgatanga on Friday 22nd April, 2016.
